if a black person tells you something you said or did is offensive to their cultural identity, listen.
if a woman tells you something you said or did makes them uncomfortable, listen.
if a trans person tells you something you said or did is offensive, listen to them.
stop dictating to oppressed people what is and isn’t offensive when you don’t suffer from the same hardships we face daily. LISTEN TO US.
why is this so difficult to understand.
If someone says “OW” on any level, you don’t get to tell them “That didn’t hurt” because IT’S THEIR PAIN, NOT YOURS, and you don’t get to decide whether what you did was hurtful or not.
